Registration for Free Solar Systems Scheme 2025 KPK

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), through the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), has launched the Free Solar Systems Scheme 2025 to support deserving households across the province. This initiative aims to provide free solar systems to economically disadvantaged families, fostering energy accessibility and sustainability.

• Scheme: Free Solar System Supply by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
• Objective: A revolutionary step to support and uplift low-income families.
• Target Beneficiaries: Provision of solar systems to 130,000 deserving households.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this program, applicants must meet the following conditions:

1. Registered under the Ehsaas Program or the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
2. Belong to economically disadvantaged/low-income families.
3. Preference will be given to:
   • Widows, divorced individuals, orphans, minorities, and differently-abled persons.
4. Households temporarily displaced or without access to electricity will be prioritized.
5. If applications exceed the allocated number, beneficiaries will be selected through a lottery.

• Working Hours for Registration: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Last Date to Apply: February 16, 2025.

Program Phases

1. First Phase:
   • Supply of solar systems with subsidized markup for households consuming up to 100 units of electricity.
   • Government Contribution: 50% subsidy for households consuming up to 200 units.
2. Second Phase:
   • Target Households:
     • Band Dosti Districts: 25,000
     • Tum Districts: 7,500
   • Total Beneficiaries: 65,000 households.
