WhatsApp Introduces Two New Features in Beta to Improve User Experience
Two New Features in WhatsApp Beta to Improve User Experience

WhatsApp is working again to make the app smoother and more user-friendly. The company has released two new features in the beta version for Android users. These features are being tested now and are expected to roll out to everyone soon.
AI Editing Tools for Status Updates
WhatsApp Status is a popular way to share moments and daily updates. Now WhatsApp is adding AI-powered editing tools to make Status updates more creative and easier to edit. These tools will replace the current Effects and Filters button.
What can users do with the new AI tools?
- Edit photos directly inside WhatsApp
- Add new objects or elements to images
- Remove backgrounds with one tap
- Animate still photos
- Create more expressive and engaging Status updates
Easier Access to Group Chat History for New Members
WhatsApp groups are widely used for work, school, and communities. But new members often miss older messages, which can make conversations confusing. The new feature solves this issue.
New members will be able to:
- View up to 1,000 messages from the 24 hours before they joined
- Catch up on previous discussions quickly
- Save admins from resending old messages
- Enjoy smoother and more organized group communication
This option will appear in the group permissions screen.
When Will These Features Be Available?
Both features are currently in the beta version. Once testing is complete and everything works well, WhatsApp will release these updates for all users worldwide.
