Winter Holidays to Begin from December 20, 2024, in Punjab: Education Minister
The Education Minister of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has officially announced that winter holidays for schools across the province will commence on December 20, 2024, as per the scheduled plan. The announcement was made through his official Facebook account, confirming that all public and private educational institutions in Punjab will observe the winter break.
This decision aligns with the annual academic calendar, ensuring students and teachers have adequate time to enjoy the seasonal break. The winter holidays are expected to provide much-needed relief from the dropping temperatures and allow families to spend quality time together.
The minister emphasized that all schools must strictly adhere to the official schedule, and any further updates or changes will be communicated promptly through official channels.
As per notification issued by SED
NO.SO(ACAD-I)1-31/2022: Consequent upon approval of the Competent Authority, it is hereby notified that Winter Vacation in all Public and Private Schools in the Province of Punjab shall be observed with effect from 20.12.2024 to 10.01.2025. All schools shall re-open on Monday, 13th January 2025 (11.01.2025 & 12.01.2025 being Saturday & Sunday). However, the restrictions regarding wearing of Face Masks within school premises shall remain intact.
Chief Executive Officers’ (DEA) concerned are directed to ensure compliance of the orders.
