The Punjab government has approved a new e-bikes scheme for government employees in 2026, making daily travel easier and more affordable across the province.
On April 16, 2026, the Chief Minister of Punjab gave the green light to a new project aimed at providing e-bikes to government employees across the province. With this approval now in place, employees can expect to receive their electric bikes in the near future.
Details of the Project
The details of the project of e-bikes in Punjab are coming very soon, as the project has been approved by the Punjab Government. The details will cover the following questions/queries:
- Is the bike free or for payment?
- Whether the male and female employees will get the e-bike or only the female employees?
- Instalment plan
- Total cost of the bike
- Advance payment
- Departments of the Punjab that will get the facility of e-bikes
- Application Procedure
- Surety for the bikes
