Rawalpindi Board to Install CCTV Cameras in Exam Centers

To enhance transparency and integrity in the 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has announced the installation of CCTV security cameras in all examination centers across the division.

The initiative aims to prevent malpractice and ensure a fair examination process. Under the new system, examination papers will be opened and distributed in the presence of students under CCTV camera monitoring. This step will guarantee complete transparency and minimize the risk of unfair means during exams.

In addition to enhancing surveillance, the board has introduced improvements to the paper marking process for annual, supplementary, and practical examinations. This comprehensive approach ensures the accuracy and credibility of results while streamlining the overall examination system.

Board Chairman Adnan Khan has instructed officials to submit details of CCTV cameras already installed in examination halls of government schools and colleges across the Rawalpindi Division. For institutions that currently lack surveillance systems, immediate steps will be taken to install CCTV cameras before the examinations.

Additionally, the board has decided that private schools will no longer serve as examination centers starting next year. This decision aligns with the board’s strategy to centralize and closely monitor exam activities in trusted government institutions.

To facilitate the process, the board has gathered comprehensive information about installed cameras from directors of colleges, deputy directors, and district education authorities. These efforts aim to ensure strict surveillance and address any gaps in monitoring systems before the upcoming exams.

The Rawalpindi BISE’s initiative reflects its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and fairness in examinations. By leveraging technology and enforcing strict surveillance, the board seeks to create an environment that upholds transparency and trust in the education system.

This step not only enhances confidence among students and parents but also ensures that the examination process remains credible and free from any form of malpractice.
